Pine-apple or pineapple is a large tropical fruit with thick rough skin, sweet yellow flesh with a lot of juice and stiff leaves on top. The pineapple has leaves like needles. They are strong rooted into the soil and grows in large quantity in cool northern states of Nigeria. Pineapple can be used as pineapple chucks, pineapple juice etc.

Factories that manufactures fruit juices/drinks, prefer the natural way of getting the liquid/juice out of the fruit, than to the use of artificial sweeteners. The liquid that comes from pineapples are juicy and satisfying. You can sell them to various FOODS and BEVERAGES companies in Lagos and Ogun State.

Pineapple is best planted in dry season with a lot of water. Pineapple hate trees around them. Spacing is the key in planting pineapples. Because pineapples are hard and strongly rooted into the soil, this reduces the rate of watery. So, the plant (pineapple) requires a lot of watering for them to germinate and grow well. When planting, don't use a fertilizer. Always use an organic manure and animal dumps.

Use only highbreed species. Some pineapple can have more than two or three fruits on it. It all depends on the type of breed you plant. Remember, watering is also a key factor. 

Pineapple can be sold in "TEMA" in Ghana. If you harvest, you can sell them in TEMA in Ghana. Or sell to the hausa's.
