WHAT CAN BE DONE?

A lot of factors contributes to that, but the most common skeletal problems that cause leg weakness in broilers are :-

* Tibial dyschondroplasia,

* Chronic painful lameness,

* Chondrodystrophy or angular bone deformities,

* Valgus-varus deformities, spondylolisthesis, 

* Rickets, femoral head necrosis, curled toes, and ruptured gastrocnemius tendon 


REMEDY & CURE.

* Slowing the growth rate by reducing feed intake has been shown to reduce leg problems in broiler flocks.

* Implementing good management practices such as lighting programs, good litter or floor conditions, good air quality, and biosecurity can be used to reduce leg problems in broilers.

* Giving them calcium supplement or human calcium 1tab for drinking container with enough water mixed with VITRANOR FORTE at day old for two weeks and at 4week to 6weeks.

* Avoid slippy floor for your broiler chickens.

Finally, tight legs with bandages side by side to avoid stretching legs far apart or to avoid bad posturing.
