Growing Mushrooms Quickly and Easily in Nigeria: Simple Steps for Faster Cultivation.

Mushrooms are fungus plants with a round flat head and short stem. Many mushrooms can be eaten. Several species are edible; but many are very poisonous. A "field mushroom" is the most common type that is eaten, often just called a "Mushrooms", and often grown to be sold - mushrooms are fried or used for mushroom soup, or as spice.

Mushrooms can be stuffed with many numerous mixtures e.g meats or nuts or seafood or spinach. Example of edible mushrooms is the strew-mushrooms or Chinese mushrooms; having a white cap and long stem. It is an expensive delicacy in China and other Asian countries where it is grown commercially.

As said before, not all mushrooms can be eating or used for cooking. Some are inedible, while others edible. Some fungus like toadstool also has round flat or curved head and a short stem like "field mushrooms", but many types of toadstool are poisonous. Example are Shiitake mushroom, Chinese black mushroom, Golden oak mushroom, Oriental black mushroom etc

Mushrooms fungious nature comes from the fact that they obtain their nutriment from dead and decaying organic matter. They are known as Saprophytic plants. They sometimes thrive also on organic substance produced by living organisms. Mushrooms and other simpler fungi grows mostly on decayed tree logs, they are not planted per say. They are non-green plants and are, therefore, unable to manufacture their own food.

Fungi plants like mushrooms, do not have green colouring matter (i.e Chlorophyll), which means they can grow without sunlight, in dark places. Mushrooms are abundantly in acidic soil where few bacteria can exist. Bacteria exist in large numbers in air, water and soil; and also in living and dead creatures and plants. Hence, mushroom grow on the surface of soil which is rich in humus.

One tricky way to command mushrooms growth, is to through roots of decayed trees. Some mushrooms grow especially in sandy soil under cottonwood trees. Various flashy fungi of mushrooms grow their cap at the end of a stem arising from underground mycelium. 

Common edible mushrooms are found naturally in moist open soil. So, to grow mushrooms yourself, you will need the help of natural phenomenal. Here is the trick: 

Funny enough, some edible mushrooms are found in piles of hardwood sawdust; the caps are black and coarsely wrinkled.

Bacteria are found in root nodules. These macro-organisms are capable of absorbing atmospheric nitrogen and converting it to organic nitrogenous compounds, namely Proteins. Nodules are food in roots. The root themselves die and decay, allowing mushrooms to grow on them. The fungi plant grows in rich pastures. Edible mushrooms have a pleasant smell. 

Mushrooms can be grown faster and effortlessly from Spawn - the buds or branches produced from underground stems.
